This plug-in will add the post authors biographical information (from their wordpress profile) to the bottom of the post (although only on the single page view of the post, not the main page).
The label that’s displayed infront of the users first name is configurable on the plug-ins settings page.
The plug-in can be downloaded from the wordpress plug-in repoistory.

I forgot to ask another question -
The author name appears as first name only. I want to use another name (for example first and last and title). Is that possible?
Thank you again,
Ido

Hi,
Thank you for the plugin.
Is there a way to show the author information on the top of a post, just beneath the post title and not on the bottom?
Thank you,
Freewomyn

It actually is showing up on your posts … you just don’t have any text in the author description. Look for the “About:” just below the share button.

Clear your cache & refresh the page?
Go to the authors & users menu and edit the user you want to add a description to.
If you want to edit yourself, simply click on the your name in the upper right hand side of the admin interface.

I have one author who is actually a couple so I need to include two bios under one authorship. Trouble is that the plugin won’t let me separate the paragraphs. It allows for the but no others including italicizing for the title’s of books or hyperlinks. Are there certain tags that would work or does the plugin require an update for that?

David! What’s happened?!
No longer displaying gravatar images since updating to version 0.06. Is this a known error or have I done something wrong?
Awesome plugin btw, thanks for your hard work!

Bryoz: Contact me via email private (david at midrange.com) so I can send you a new version that re-implements some stuff that I did earlier.

Useful plugin. I can’t change the “About:” into “A proposito di:” though (I did set it in the prefs). No change…

Yes, precisely. Similar to all the ezine websites where a customizable field is provided for each single post.

I think that’s beyond the scope of my plug-in.

Hi David,
I like your plugin. But, is it possible to have a author bio for each of the individual posts, similar to ezinearticles.com?

Not sure I completely understand what you are looking for.
Do you mean a author bio that is customizable on a per post basis?

Nancy, would being able to specify which categories the bio shows up in or doesn’t show up in sufficient? I’m working on just such a modification.

Is there a way to make this as an option? There are some posts that I don’t want it to appear on.
Thanks.

You don’t do anything with it … it’s just there. You can alter the style of it if you want. Take a look at the generated HTML to see the classes used.
I could probably add a link to the authors website if it’s set.
I’ll try to get all the suggestions in the next version… although I don’t know when I’ll have a chance to get to it.

and can hyperlinks to an authors other sites be included?
Thanks and thrive…

It’s just a single cell table. The blog’s normal styles handle the appearance.

Great plugin! How did you get that cool box to appear around the author bio?
Thanks!

I really do … just not this blog. I’m the only author on this blog, so there’s no real use for it. If you go to http://imho.midrange.com, you’ll see the plug-in in action.

How come you don’t have it on your blog, David? I only ask cause i want to know how it looks. I went to the WordPress download page and there is no screenshot there either.
Let me know. Thx!
